Smart Energy is a solution consisting of a low-cost three-phase energy meter, focusing on energy quality, where its energy measurement and management systems allow the user to have detailed knowledge and control of their electricity consumption. This management can lead to significant savings as waste is identified and reduced.
It is a project that encompasses hardware and software solutions for implementing this system on the UFRN campus using electronic devices with sensors, actuators, and embedded real-time communication technologies.
In terms of technologies, Energy Management utilizes commercial platforms, electronic instrumentation, IoT devices, and web dashboards for use in contexts based on energy consumption measurement, optimization of systems with harmonic distortion, and rational energy use.
